EXIF / Image Metadata Viewer — Read the hidden metadata embedded in image files. Most cameras and phones write EXIF data into every photo: camera make and model, lens, exposure settings, ISO, focal length, capture time, and (if location is on) GPS coordinates. This tool shows all of it in one structured panel.
Image is read in your browser using the FileReader API. It is never uploaded to any server.

What is EXIF / Image Metadata Viewer?
Read the hidden metadata embedded in image files. Most cameras and phones write EXIF data into every photo: camera make and model, lens, exposure settings, ISO, focal length, capture time, and (if location is on) GPS coordinates. This tool shows all of it in one structured panel.
Everything runs in your browser. The image is read with the FileReader API, parsed locally with the exifr library, and never sent to a server. This is the same approach used by professional photo triage tools, with the privacy of a local file viewer.
How to use it
-
Drop in an image
Drop onto the upload zone or click to pick a file. JPG, PNG, HEIC, TIFF, WebP, and RAW are all read locally.
-
Read the metadata sections
Tags are grouped as Camera, Exposure & optics, Date & time, Image, GPS, and IPTC / editorial.
-
Check the GPS warning
If the file contains GPS data, a banner links to the location. Sharing the photo would reveal it.
-
Export the data
Use "Copy JSON" or "Download JSON" to save the full metadata for analysis or sharing.

How to Remove EXIF Metadata from Photos Before Sharing Online
Every photo you take with a smartphone contains EXIF metadata: the camera make and model, the date and time, and — if you have location services on — the GPS coordinates of where you took it. Before sharing a photo publicly, strip the EXIF. Here is the 3-step workflow: check the metadata, remove it, verify the result. The whole thing takes 2 minutes per photo.
